Information You Enter
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Hanford Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those queries on its own servers. If you contact us, the message itself is the information we receive and use to answer you.
Routine Technical Logs
Our host may record an IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time stamps in ordinary server logs. We review those details in aggregate to maintain the service and understand which Hanford reference pages are useful. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or similar tools when enabled.
How the Information Is Used
Technical data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic counts, and page improvements. We do not sell a visitor list or create an individual profile from ordinary site use.
External Records Links
Hanford pages link to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Each outside service controls its own privacy policy and governs what happens to information submitted there. Sponsored results are supplied by a separate provider as well.
Possible Recipients
Hosting and support vendors may process server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the limited automatic data described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure and otherwise do not make that disclosure.
Security and Retention
The connection is encrypted, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. No account exists on this site, so there is no site password or user profile for us to store.
Visitors Under 18
Hanford Residents Directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if a minor may have sent information so we can remove it.
Your California Privacy Choices
California's consumer privacy rights arise principally under the California Consumer Privacy Act and related amendments, Civil Code ยง1798.100 et seq. Depending on the circumstances, those rights can include knowing or accessing, deleting, correcting, opting out of sale or sharing, limiting sensitive-data use, and receiving equal treatment. Because this reference keeps little personal data, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs. Use the Contact page to ask.
Public records held by California, Kings County, or Hanford offices are outside our control. A deletion or correction request for a government record belongs with its custodian, not with this private reference.
Policy Changes
When this policy changes, the revised wording will be posted here. Continuing to use the service after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
