3. No Consumer Report

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither the text here nor a result from a linked search tool is a consumer report, and neither may be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. Third-Party Destinations

Government portals and outside services, including sponsored search tools, publish their own terms and privacy policies. Hanford Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, charges, or data practices.

5. No Warranties

The service is offered "as is" and "as available" without warranties. We do not promise that a page is accurate, complete, or current, or that a linked portal will remain available or return a correct result.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from this service or an outside resource, including a decision based on a record reached through it.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Copyright protects the original writing, design, logo, and layout. Links and short attributed quotations are welcome; republishing a full page or copying the material systematically is not.

9. Changes

A revised version may be posted here at any time. Continued use after the revision is posted means that the new terms are accepted.

10. Access Restrictions

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service, at the operators' discretion and without advance notice.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Public-record references are informed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code §7920.000 et seq., including the determination rule in §7922.535. California consumer privacy rights are addressed principally in Civil Code §1798.100 et seq.; those statutes do not make this private reference the custodian of a public record.

12. Severability

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
